Our final session of the Adult Forum Holy Remembering will be on October 31 at 9am in the Nave at Christ Church, and on Facebook Live.
This series has focused on the history, theology, and practice of Dia de los Muertos, and it’s connection to All Saints and All Souls days. For our final session, we invite you to participate in this holy remembering and consider sharing a story about someone that has passed away, that you are holding especially close to your heart. You can bring a photograph or item to share about as part of your story if you’d like.
As you remember, you can use these questions to shape your story:
– Who is this person?
-What is one of your favorite memories about this person?
– What are the things that remind you of them?
– finish this sentence: “Everyone who knew them would say_______ about them”
– What were their favorite foods, music, movies, books, places to travel….?
– What do you miss the most about them?
– If you could speak with them again, what would you share? what would you ask?
For the second part of the session, we’ll have a short lesson about other practices of holy remembrance throughout the world.
