Over the past 23 years of serving as your organist, 
I’ve witnessed many ways that our church has expressed the love of Christ to our extended community, such as CityHeart, Waffle Shop, Take, Eat, and the Reconciliation Labyrinth, to name but a few.
As you may know, our church has recently received a new world class Steinway concert grand piano through the incredible generosity of Lynn Pickering. It is a sheer joy to play this superb instrument each Sunday, and I envision an opportunity to invite the greater Dayton community into our sacred space.
To realize this vision, we are planning to establish The Great Lady Concert Series at Christ Church, beginning this fall with three special concerts:
- Heavenly Harps with Dayton Area Harp Ensemble on September 24 at 3:00pm, featuring 15 harps and other instruments
- Premier Gala Piano Concert on November 5 at 3:00pm, featuring Grammy-nominated concert pianist Kara Huber
- 22nd Annual Downtowners Christmas Concert on December 6 at 1:30pm, featuring Percy Jones & Friends
The estimated cost to offer three concerts is $4,500. Your contribution of any size to help kickstart this wonderful series will be greatly appreciated. You may send a check with “Concert Series” in the memo, or give online on our church website by clicking here.
