Waffle Shop is an annual 4-day event in November at Christ Church where we raise funds through sales from serving daily lunch & baked goods. Funds are then distributed as grants in the spring to small, local nonprofits meeting basic human needs in our community. This year, the 94th Annual Waffle Shop will be held November 19-22, 2024.
Here are a couple of ways that you can be apart of the Waffle Shop crew:
1. Donating of Canned Pop
We are accepting donations of Soda / Pop that is sold during Waffle Shop. The following kind of sodas/pop are what we are accepting : Regular and Diet Coke, Pepsi and 7up only. We need 12oz cans in 12, 15, 24packs, etc. Please check the expiration dates on the cans, since Waffle Shop is not until November 19th – 22nd. Please leave your donation in the Kitchen on the silver (metal) table that is closest to the entrance to the kitchen.
2. Donating empty pop boxes for packing carry-out orders at Waffle Shop
If you drink items that come in 12oz can, I am asking if you will save the boxes that they come in. So I am asking for the 10, 12, 15 or 24 pack boxes. Please don’t rip open the boxes but open at the ends or the center if the boxes has a place for that to be done. Bring your collapsed boxes in a bag and you can leave the bag in the kitchen also. Please mark your bags with my name (Maureen Boyles – Waffle Shop) so that it does not get mistaken as trash or recycling.
