A really wonderful day in the neighborhood and you didn’t have to look very hard to see Jesus because he showed up in his food truck!

David Lauderderdale, owner of the family food truck – DChicken and DFish La’ La – Where the Batter is Blessed, came to the Apple Street Shelter and prepared lunch for all the shelter residents – some 196 hungry neighbors. Fried chicken and fish, french fries, macaroni and cheese, greens, and baked beans brought smiles to the faces of the families, single women, and couples. And, our serving team was blessed to serve David’s donated meal. Greg, Karla, Terry, Neal, and Linda were kept very busy filling and refilling everyone’s plates. David will be heading to the Gateway Shelter tonight to serve the same meal to well over 200 men.

David and his family are loving their neighbors by cooking them tasty food – thanks be to God.

Enjoy Today,
Gary
