On Tuesday, Aug. 24, the Christ Church Re-Opening Committee met. In light of the spread of the Delta variant and the additional risks it represents, we unanimously agreed on changes to protocols at Christ Church, effective immediately. The changes bring us more in alignment with our policies when the building was first re-opened for in-person worship. Namely:
At all times, everywhere in the building:
- Masks are required for anyone old enough to walk
- Eating and drinking indoors is prohibited in group gatherings
In addition, for services we will:
- Re-orient the 8 a.m. service toward our High Altar
- Rope off alternate pews to help maintain a 6-foot social distance between family groups
- Ask that you exit from services through the side door directly into the vestibule and outdoors
When celebrating the Eucharist, we plan to keep offering bread at the altar rail and wine in the small individual cups.
