Welcome to Our Newest Staff Member, Katherine Wagner!
Dear Friends,
I am excited to announce that as of April 29, Christ Church is restructuring and expanding our paid staff. Our current Parish Administrator, Emily Joyce, is taking on a new role as our full-time Director of Communications and Parish Life. Katherine Wagner is joining us to fill portions of the Parish Administrator position.
Katherine will be with us three days a week for administrative support, as a first point of contact, and to maintain our records. She is a faithful Episcopalian and has spent the majority of her working career supporting parishes. Katherine currently is the Second Vice-President of Diocesan Council and an active member of St. Mark’s, Dayton. Katherine’s organizational skills and background with volunteers will be a fantastic addition and should help the office run smoothly.
Emily’s new position is intended to extend the reach of Christ Church, to help us spread the Good News. As Director of Communications and Parish Life, she will be able to expand the work she does best: telling our story and facilitating member engagement. She will still provide all of us with her energetic, bright, helpful presence in the office, but will have a (partial) shift in day-to-day responsibilities.
These changes in staffing come at a wonderful time. Attendance and giving are up. There is new energy and new programs are being offered. The Vestry and I hope that this additional support will empower each of us; that the Gospel of inclusive, affirming love can continue to reach, and change, as many lives as possible.
