EASTER OFFERING

To Relieve Local Medical Debt

We are pleased to announce that we surpassed our $15,000 campaign goal!

We raised $15,968.25!!

That means nearly $1.6 Million in medical debt will be abolished in Montgomery County thanks to your generosity!

Christ Episcopal Church of Dayton has partnered with Undue Medical Debt in an effort to Become Good Soil, by eliminating medical debt in Montgomery County, raising funds over the 2024 Easter Season. Like the Parable of the Soils, we have a chance to bear fruit of one hundred to one! Yes, that’s right, each dollar donated will abolish one hundred dollars in medical debt! Together we’re giving individuals and families that are struggling a fresh start, allowing them to continue to seek medical care, and helping them along the path to financial stability.

How Undue  Works

Over a hundred million Americans, one in three, struggles with the weight of medical debt.

1. You make a donation
They use data analytics to pinpoint the debt of those most in need: households that earn less than 4x the federal poverty level (varies by state, family size) or whose debts are 5% or more of annual income.

2. Undue buys medical debt at a steep discount
They buy debt in bundles, millions of dollars at a time at a fraction of the original cost. This means your donation relieves about 100x its value in medical debt.

3. Together we wipe out medical debt
People across the country receive letters that their debt has been erased. They have no tax consequences or penalties to consider. Just like that, they’re free of medical debt.
