CityHeart Thanks & Giving Tree

CityHeart Thanks & Giving Tree 150 150 Dayton Christ Episcopal Church

CityHeart extends grateful thanks the Christ Church community for your generous and faithful support of our mission and ministry through donations to our annual fundraiser and ongoing pledges of support. Many people in the Dayton community continue to face challenges as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and with your help, we have responded above and beyond our normal capacity in 2021 to provide for the needs of approximately 125 families per month.

In mid-September, we reopened our doors to walk-in clients and are slowly seeing the homeless population return to receive a warm welcome of hospitality, referrals, and other critical services. We are committed to being the “Heart of the City and Hope of the Community.”

As we enter the season of Advent and prepare for the coming of our Lord, we invite you to remember Jesus’ call for his disciples to serve the poor and marginalized, those that CityHeart serves each day.

Please help us keep our neighbors warm this winter by donating gifts of cold weather gear. Good, clean, used coats for both men and women are being accepted, additionally; Men’s gloves, hats and socks and Women’s gloves and socks. #1 item needed is Men’s gloves. (No other clothing items please due to limited storage space.)

All items can be placed under the Giving Tree in the Front Hall throughout the month of December or dropped off at the CityHeart offices, M-F, 10-3. If you are unable to shop, monetary contributions are also welcome, and we’ll do the shopping for you!

On behalf of our grateful clients; the staff, volunteers and board of CityHeart thank you!
