Having Vestry approval, plans are progressing to offer a limited in scope Waffle Shop 2021 event as Carry Out lunch only, offered Tuesday – Friday of November 16 – 19. Our mission is to engage with the Dayton community in a safe way, rekindle the spirit of Waffle Shop and grant the proceeds to small local non-profits benefiting the poor and marginalized.
Patrons will use online order & payment and pick up at the church. Meals will be prepared and packaged in the Kitchen and Parish Hall, isolated from the public, work stations spaced apart, volunteers will wear masks and to be fully vaccinated.
We estimate 25 to 30 volunteers will be needed each day – an opportunity to meet & serve with folks of Christ Church and neighboring churches. Email Linda Parsons at ljparsons1@nullroadrunner.com
Regular and Diet – Coke, Pepsi and 7-up in 12oz cans will be on the online menu and are specifically what we need, donations are welcome!
